5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website is hosted using Wix and may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, scripts, and similar technologies.

Cookies are small data files stored on a visitor’s browser or device. They may be used to operate the website, remember selections, understand website activity, display embedded content, and support other website features.

The website may use the following categories of cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function, remain secure, process privacy choices, prevent fraud, and provide features requested by visitors. They generally cannot be disabled through the website’s consent tool.

Functional Cookies

These cookies support optional functionality, such as remembering preferences or displaying certain embedded content.

Analytics Cookies

Where enabled and accepted, analytics cookies may help us understand how visitors use the website, which pages are visited, and whether the website is functioning effectively.

Advertising or Marketing Cookies

Where enabled and accepted, advertising or marketing technologies may be used to measure campaigns or deliver content based on interactions with websites or online services.

Nonessential cookies and tracking technologies are intended to remain disabled until the visitor makes an applicable consent choice.

Visitors can accept, reject, or customize nonessential cookies through the website’s cookie banner. Preferences can be changed later by selecting the “Cookie Preferences” or similar link available on the website.

Disabling cookies may affect certain website features.

6. Analytics, Embedded Content, and Social Media

The website may contain or display content connected to third-party services, including:

  • YouTube;

  • Facebook;

  • Instagram;

  • LinkedIn;

  • TikTok;

  • X or Twitter;

  • Zillow;

  • RE/MAX-hosted property-search pages;

  • Multiple Listing Service or listing platforms; and

  • Other real-estate or social-media services.

Third-party content may be displayed as an embedded video, social-media feature, link, button, property-search tool, or other integration.

When you interact with third-party content or leave this website, the third party may collect information under its own privacy policy. Keys on Locke does not control the privacy or security practices of independently operated third-party websites.

Where technically supported, nonessential embedded content is intended to remain blocked until the visitor provides the applicable consent.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:

Website and Technology Providers

These may include website hosting, form-processing, email, cybersecurity, analytics, consent-management, data-storage, and technical-support providers.

Brokerage and Real-Estate Service Providers

Information may be disclosed to RE/MAX Gateway, Multiple Listing Services, listing platforms, transaction coordinators, escrow companies, title companies, inspectors, lenders, appraisers, photographers, contractors, cooperating brokers, agents, and other parties involved in providing requested real-estate services.

Information will not be provided to a lender, escrow company, inspector, or similar provider merely because you visited the website. Such disclosures generally occur when you request the relevant service or when reasonably necessary for a transaction.

Professional Advisers

Information may be disclosed to attorneys, accountants, insurance providers, consultants, and other professional advisers when reasonably necessary.

Governmental and Legal Recipients

Information may be disclosed to courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, governmental authorities, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or legal interests.

Business Transfers

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, sale, reorganization, brokerage transition, asset transfer, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

We require service providers to use information only for authorized purposes and to provide appropriate privacy and security protections where required.

8. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Keys on Locke does not sell personal information in exchange for money.

Certain analytics, advertising, social-media, or online technologies, if enabled, may disclose online identifiers and internet activity to technology providers. Depending on the technology and applicable law, some disclosures could be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information even when no money is exchanged.

Visitors may decline nonessential analytics and marketing technologies through the website’s cookie banner or Cookie Preferences tool.

Where required by applicable law, visitors may also submit a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

Keys on Locke does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

9. Email, Telephone, and Marketing Communications

We may contact you to respond to an inquiry, provide requested property information, arrange a consultation, or communicate about real-estate services.

Where permitted, we may also send market updates, property announcements, newsletters, or similar communications.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link provided in the message or by contacting us. Even after unsubscribing from marketing messages, you may continue to receive transactional or service-related communications.

Submitting a website form does not, by itself, authorize automated marketing text messages or prerecorded marketing calls. Any consent to receive automated calls or text messages will be requested separately when required.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing requested services, maintaining business and transaction records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the information and purpose. For example:

  • General website inquiries may be retained for up to three years after the most recent meaningful interaction;

  • Marketing contact information may be retained until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer needed;

  • Cookie and consent records may be retained for the period necessary to document privacy choices;

  • Real-estate transaction and brokerage records may be retained for the period required by California law, brokerage requirements, professional standards, or legitimate legal and business needs; and

  • Information needed for an active dispute, investigation, or legal obligation may be retained until the matter is resolved.

Information may be deleted or anonymized earlier when it is no longer reasonably necessary.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, electronic communication, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use caution when transmitting information online and avoid sending highly sensitive information through an unencrypted contact form or ordinary email.

12. California Privacy Rights

Depending on whether Keys on Locke is subject to a particular California privacy law and whether an exception applies, California residents may have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about them;

  • Know the sources from which personal information was collected;

  • Know the purposes for which personal information was collected, used, sold, shared, or disclosed;

  • Know the categories of third parties to whom information was disclosed;

  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions;

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;

  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;

  • Obtain information in a portable format when applicable; and

  • Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Keys on Locke will honor privacy rights required by applicable law. We may also honor reasonable access, correction, or deletion requests voluntarily when legally and operationally possible.

Submitting a Privacy Request

Privacy requests may be submitted by:

Email: keysonlocke@gmail.com
Telephone: 661-904-3635

Mail:
Keys on Locke
Attn: Privacy Request
25129 The Old Road, Suite 114
Santa Clarita, CA 91381

Please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and explain the nature of your request.

Verification

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Verification may involve matching information provided in the request with information already maintained in our records. We will request only information reasonably necessary to verify the request. We will not use verification information for unrelated purposes.

Authorized Agents

A California resident may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may require documentation showing that the agent has authority to act on the resident’s behalf and may contact the resident directly to verify identity or confirm authorization.

Response Timing

We will acknowledge and respond to verified privacy requests within the time required by applicable law. Additional time may be needed for complex requests, and we will provide notice when an extension is permitted. Certain information may be retained or a request may be denied when an applicable legal exception applies, including when information is needed to complete a transaction, comply with law, maintain records, detect security incidents, protect legal rights, or exercise another legally permitted purpose.

13. Sensitive Personal Information

Keys on Locke does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through its general website contact form.

During a real-estate transaction, certain sensitive information may be necessary for lenders, escrow providers, title companies, brokers, attorneys, or other transaction professionals. Visitors should provide such information directly through the secure method designated by the appropriate professional and not through the general website contact form.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about website visitors.

14. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Where required by applicable law and technically supported, the website will treat a recognized Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device sending the signal.

Because there is not currently a uniform industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the website may not respond to every Do Not Track setting. Visitors can manage nonessential tracking through the website’s Cookie Preferences tool.

15. Children’s Privacy

The website and real-estate services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Keys on Locke does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us at keysonlocke@gmail.com.

16. External Websites

The website contains links to third-party property-search, listing, brokerage, social-media, review, and video platforms.

When you select an external link, you leave the Keys on Locke website. The external party’s privacy policy and terms will govern its collection and use of information. Keys on Locke is not responsible for the content, privacy, security, or data practices of independently operated third-party websites.

Visitors should review the privacy policy of each third-party service before submitting information.

17. Nevada Residents

Nevada residents may contact us to request information regarding any covered information that may be sold under Nevada law. Keys on Locke does not currently sell covered information for monetary consideration as “sale” is defined by applicable Nevada privacy law. Requests may be submitted to keysonlocke@gmail.com with “Nevada Privacy Request” in the subject line.

18. International Visitors

The website is operated in the United States and is primarily intended for individuals seeking real-estate services in California. If you access the website from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other countries where service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the website, services, technology, business practices, or applicable law. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through an additional website notice when appropriate. We encourage visitors to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

20. Accessibility

We are committed to making this Privacy Policy reasonably accessible. A visitor who has difficulty accessing this policy or needs it in an alternative format may contact us by email at keysonlocke@gmail.com.
